Aftercare
Appointment Preparing
- Arrive 5 minutes early to use the restroom or enjoy a complimentary glass of wine or champagne.
- Arrive with no eye makeup. If you have any eye makeup on, we have to remove it and this will take away from your lash time. We have makeup remover and lash cleanser in the lobby restrooms for use before your appointment if needed.
- Avoid moisturizer around the eye (only when you come to your appointment). This will help the eyepads adhere to your skin and prevent them from moving throughout the service.
- Avoid caffeine, as it will cause your eyes to flutter. We want you to be as relaxed as possible. during your appointment.
- Make your lash artist aware of any allergies or sensitivities that you may have.
- Have an idea on what kind of look you are going for. Keep in mind you can change up your look with each appointment. Bring photos if you'd like, or just consult with your artist on what would look best with your eyes and face shape!
Aftercare
- The first thing to touch your lashes should be your lash cleanser! Your first cleanse should be the night of your appointment and every night thereafter. Do not wait 24 hours to get them wet. This is outdated information and proven to have a negative impact on retention.
- Avoid oil based products around the eyes. Oils can group the extensions together and make them look dirty or greasy. Natural oils can accumulate on the lash extensions as well if you do not clean them often enough.
- Cleanse your lashes every day with a lash cleanser made for eyelash extensions even if you're not wearing makeup. Do not use baby shampoo or face cleanser on your lashes. We recommend cleansing at the sink to avoid the aggressive pressure from shower heads.
- Avoid anti aging products and lash serums for 24-48 hours before and after an appointment.
- Wait until your lashes are dry to brush them. After cleansing, pat them dry with a microfiber towel, paper towel, or "clean skin club towel" (found on amazon).
- Do not pick at your extensions. Use a spoolie brush on the extensions to keep them fluffy and combed out.
- Wear extension safe eyeliner, like a felt tip or powder eyeliner. Avoid waterproof, cream, or gel based eye makeup.
- Sleep on a silk pillow case if you are a side or stomach sleeper.
- Prebook your fill before leaving the salon for 2 weeks out.
Please note
Humans naturally shed 1-5 natural lashes per day (with or without extensions), and lashes grow at a rate of .15mm per day. When lashes are 2-3 mm from the lid, they must be removed and replaced at the base to ensure the follicle remains healthy. Excessive grow out can cause stress to the follicles and impact optimal hair growth. 2 weeks is the ideal timeframe where your lash artist has enough time in your fill to get you back to 100% coverage and address all grown outs. Your lashes should still look great between fills. We have extended fill options for clients who would like extra time during their fills.
